Number puzzles can feel mathematical even when the arithmetic is trivial; the real work is often structure, ordering and exclusion. Put that beside this bit of history: Ernő Rubik designed his famous cube in the 1970s as a way to explore three-dimensional movement before it became a worldwide puzzle phenomenon. A hint used one second too late is not help; it is an accusation.

History got weird here
Pentominoes are shapes made from five equal squares joined edge to edge. There are twelve distinct free pentominoes, and fitting them into rectangles can become surprisingly difficult. A separate bit of trivia: A Möbius strip has only one side and one edge. Make one from paper with a half-twist, draw a line without lifting the pencil, and eventually you return to the starting point after covering what looked like both sides.
