The curious bit

Go players describe influence, territory and thickness—ideas that are hard to reduce to a single score during the middle of a game. Much of the strategy is about value that has not become points yet. Here is another tiny history lesson. Many classic strategy games use rock-paper-scissors relationships: one unit beats another, loses to a third, and becomes useful only as part of a mixed force.
