Strategy & Defense Games · 9

Real-time strategy games turn attention into a resource. A player can know the correct answer and still lose because three problems demanded action at once. Meanwhile, the mechanics tell a second story: A choke point is powerful because geometry reduces how many units can fight at once, allowing a smaller force to make the map do part of the defending. The strongest unit in any strategy game is information arriving before the bad news.
