Skill & Precision Games · 92
Visual noise is expensive in a timing game because every decorative flash competes with the one cue the player actually needs to read. The category's past supplies the companion fact: Coyote time is the platform-game trick that briefly allows a jump after a character has technically left an edge, matching human expectation better than strict physics. Precision games are where a millimeter becomes a biography.

Tiny history break
Not every boomerang is meant to return. Many traditional hunting and fighting boomerangs are designed to fly hard and straight; returning boomerangs are a specialized shape that curves back because of spin and aerodynamic lift. There is a bonus fact hiding here too: The flying disc's nickname has roots in pie tins. College students were said to toss tins from the Frisbie Pie Company, and the sound of that name helped inspire the later toy trademark 'Frisbee'.
