The brain makes fast assumptions about depth, motion and shape, and puzzle designers love catching those assumptions in the act. And here is a completely different twist: Word ladders were popularized by Lewis Carroll. The idea is to turn one word into another by changing one letter at a time while keeping every intermediate step a valid word.
