Players build 'chunks' of movement with practice, combining several conscious actions into one learned sequence that feels almost automatic. The category's past supplies the companion fact: Hitboxes and visible art are not always identical, and skill games often feel better when the collision shape is slightly more forgiving than the sprite suggests. Nothing makes a player appreciate consistency like failing in exactly the same place twelve times.

Something to tell a friend

A classic 'Robin Hood' shot in archery happens when one arrow strikes the back of another and splits or nests into it. It looks spectacular, but archers are not always delighted because the trick can destroy perfectly good arrows. A different kind of surprise: Topspin and backspin in billiards can change where the cue ball travels after impact. A tiny difference in where the cue tip hits the ball can turn the same-looking shot into completely different position play.
